Please choose your seats by using the seating chart. The event is assigned seating.

All parents and people wishing to watch the show will need to purchase a ticket online. 

The Legacy Dance Studio is not responsible if you buy tickets for the wrong Showcase.

All dancers must attend the mandatory dress rehearsal on the Friday before the Saturday Showcases.

There are two shows separated by age, please make sure you know which show your dancer is in. Tickets will be sold separately for each showcase.

2PM SHOWCASE

– Featuring Pre School and Early Elementary Showcase  – Featuring our Pre Dance classes ages 3-4 and 5-7 years old in combination Mon/Tues ballet and tap classes.

7PM SHOW 

– Featuring our dancers ranging from ages 7-18 years old in Wed/Fri elementary, Mon/Wed/Thurs middle school and Tues/Thurs high school classes.

Important Information 

!! FREE !! Photos and Videos included with your ticket purchases

• Professional photos and video will be available to you this summer for digital download at no cost.
• We ask that you do not film or take pictures during the showcase now we are back in the theater setting and providing this service.

Concession –Before both shows and intermission (downstairs)

• Water, Sodas, Beer, and Wine – cash only
• Snacks and Candy – cash only

Showcase Admission and Audience

• All audience members will need to buy a ticket to watch each of the performances.
• Assigned Seating.
• Be in your seats by 5 minutes before Showtimes. We will start on time.
• Only enter and exit the theater in between numbers.
• Dancers do not need a ticket; they will be backstage for the entire show.
• Please no excessive yelling and screaming during the shows, it can be distracting for our audience and dancers while performing in the theater. Applause is appreciated!
• Tickets will be available online through intermission of 7pm Showcase

Mandatory Dress Rehearsal – In Costume (DANCERS ONLY)

Friday, June 7^th at News Journal Center

All Dancers must be checked in or out by a parent. Older dancers and those driving can check themselves out.

This is a CLOSED rehearsal, Legacy Staff and Official Volunteers ONLY. Volunteers should arrive 15-20 minutes early.

ATTN:  All legacy dancers in both shows should be at both Dress Rehearsals. This includes – All Legacy Star

• Dancers will remain backstage for the entirety of their Rehearsal and Showcase with our Staff and Official Volunteers.
• No unauthorized person can be backstage at any time. NJC employees, Legacy Staff and Approved volunteers are the only people allowed backstage for Rehearsals and Showcases.
• Dancers will be in costume for Dress Rehearsal with correct hair, shoes, tights, and costumes/accessories.
• Dress Rehearsal Dancers, Ages 3-4 and 5-7 arrive in first costume.
• All other dancers wear black warmups and bring costumes.
• Bring a water bottle and food/snacks if there for a prolonged period.

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT – Check-in and check-out procedures will be ongoing for rehearsals and showcases to ensure the safety of all our dancers.

• PLEASE SEND ONE PARENT OR GUARDIAN TO CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT YOUR DANCER.
• PLEASE BE PATIENT, THE SAFETY OF THE DANCERS IS OF THE HIGHEST PRIORITY.
• IF YOUR DANCER DRIVES OR IS ABLE TO CHECK THEMSELVES IN AND OUT, PLEASE HAVE THE DANCER VISIT THE CHECK IN/CHECK OUT THEMSELVES.

What to Wear and Show Order Coming Soon! 

– Visit Dance Depot for tights, shoes, and undergarments

SHOES SHOULD BE NEW OR IN GENTLY USED CONDITION. BALLET SHOES AND JAZZ SHOES SHOW THE MOST WEAR TEAR. THERE SHOULD BE NO LARGE DARK SCUFFS, HOLES, OR TOES STICKING OUT.

General Information

• Bring all Correct Costume, Tights and Shoes are Listed in the What to Wear Section of this packet.
• Dancers will remain backstage for the entirety of their Rehearsal and Showcase with our Staff and Official Volunteers.
• No unauthorized person can be backstage at any time. NJC employees, Legacy Staff and Approved volunteers are the only people allowed backstage for Rehearsals and Showcases.
• Check-in and check-out procedures will be ongoing for rehearsals and showcases to ensure the safety of all our dancers. PLEASE SEND ONE PARENT OR GUARDIAN TO CHECK OUT YOUR DANCER.
• PLEASE BE PATIENT, THE SAFETY OF THE DANCERS IS OF THE HIGHEST PRIORITY.
• Dancers are to remain backstage for the entirety of the dress rehearsal and showcase, no exceptions. See arrival and pick up times below.
• No nail polish or toe polish or jewelry of any kind.
• Make sure your costumes, shoes, bags, and all belongings are labeled with your dancer’s name.

Helpful Tips

• Wear Caramel Tights under pink tights as a base for (7pm show)
• Pull heel down of stirrup tight when wear jazz or tap shoes
• Bring bobby pins, hairspray, safety pins, deodorant, makeup wipes and extra supplies your dancer may need.
• Skin tone (clear straps) dance bra/underwear is recommended for all older dancers, those changing AND dancers that are not wearing tights. **NO SHOW UNDERGARMENTS ONLY, STRAPS MUST BE CLEAR OR SKIN TONE.
• Black socks should cover ankles, knee high socks.
• Dance depot has all undergarments, tights, and garment bags if your dancer has many costumes.

Makeup

2pm Showcase Ages 3-4 and 5-7 Dancers (arrive in first costume)

• Younger dancers (Ages 3-7) can have light makeup at the discretion of the parent or guardian.
• For example – Mascara, bronze shimmer eye shadow, rosy cheeks, soft red lip.

7pm Showcase Elementary, Middle School, and High School Dancers (arrive in black warmups)

• Stage Makeup: Thick Black eyeliner with Wings, Foundation, true ruby red lip (something that does not rub off), natural brown eyeshadows with dark crease, rosy cheeks, high lighter on jaw line, eyebrows filled in.
• Middle School and Up dancers need fake eyelashes.

Hair

• 2pm Hair:

Ages 3-4 and 5-7 Classic Ballet High Bun at crown of head, twenty bobby pins, hair net, spray, and gel.

• 7pm Hair:

All Dancers –  Sleek Middle Part Low Bun with twenty bobby pins, hair net, spray, and gel.

Middle School and High School Classes – Hair should have gel, anti-frizz serum and hairspray.

Accessories

• Flower Hair pieces should be worn on the right side.
• Bows should be centered over bun.
• Diamonds should be on the right side.
• All hair pieces need crisscrossed bobby pins to secure them.

If you have any dates in the month of June you are considering vacationing, please let Mrs. Shannon know as the dates are subject to change for all our Showcases, Performances and Competitions. Due to COVID restrictions, our options have been cut in half and dates for our June performances can and will vary

Showcase Costumes – DUE OCT 25TH

• We cannot under any circumstances, refund money for costumes once they are ordered.
• SHOWCASE COSTUME DEPOSITS WILL BE POSTED TO YOUR ACCOUNT BY SEPTEMBER 16^TH
• You can pay cash or check at the studio or pay online through your portal account.
• SHOWCASE COSTUME DEPOSITS ARE DUE PAID IN FULL BY OCTOBER 25^th
• Monthly Installments are for The Legacy Dance Studio Professional Services rendered, including the securing of your child’s placement in curriculum, instruction, and performances.
• You will Pay Installments for the 10 Month Dance Season for the Months of August – May (MUST PAY MAY INSTALLMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN SHOWCASE.)

$100 AFTER OCT. 25th * AFTER Due Date

**Costumes must be taken home/picked up by June 1st or it will become the property of The Legacy Dance Studio (no exceptions)

The purchase of and ownership of showcase costumes doesn’t guarantee you will participate in the end of year showcase.

Being a part of the end of year showcase is a privilege. Behavior and studio policies will be upheld to a highest standard for all legacy dancers and especially legacy stars.
