Prices, Policies and Class Schedule

The Legacy Dance Studio reserves the rights to change policies at any time, with or without notice (subject to applicable law).

Continuing to attend The Legacy Dance Studio Classes, Events, Functions, or Performances is binding acceptance of these terms. 

Payment Policies

Policy Update 5/1/2024

Annual Registration Fee – $35 per dancer

AUTOPAY REQUIREMENT: All Legacy accounts and Legacy Stars competition team members will require an ACH, Debit or Credit Card on FILE that will be ran on the 1st of each month for balances due, payment installments, costume payments, competition payments or other payments associated with The Legacy Dance Studio. To pay cash or check before the first, there is a 2-week window to do so. Cash or check payments must be processed 2-3 days BEFORE the 1st or your autopay will be run.

If it is not received 2-3 DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST, your FULL ACCOUNT BALANCE WILL BE RAN ON autopay on the 1st. All legacy account holders are required to keep payment information updated. *no exceptions

Payment Information 

Legacy Payment Installments are an annual payment based on the number of weeks out of the season, including Holidays and Breaks. This annual fee is broken into 10 monthly payments (Aug-May) for your convenience OR you can pay the annual fee in one lump sum. Installments are DUE by the 1st of each month and will be run on autopay. To pay cash or check before the first, there is a 2-week window to do so. Cash or check payments must be processed 2-3 days BEFORE the 1st or your autopay will be run.

*Statements will be posted to your ONLINE ACCOUNT 2 weeks before your bill is due.

Monthly Installments are for The Legacy Dance Studio Professional Services rendered, including the securing of your child’s placement in curriculum, instruction, and performances.

You will Pay Installments for the Dance Season for the Months August, September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May. Please make sure to include your child’s name and payment details with each check to ensure your payment is applied properly

All payments must be received on time to participate in performances, competitions, showcases or community events.
(MUST PAY MAY INSTALLMENT AND FULL BALANCES TO PARTICIPATE IN SHOWCASE.)

There is an annual Registration fee of $35 per student. Registration fee and 1st months payment installment are due at the time you register.

LATE FEES: After the 15th of the month, overdue payments will be assessed a non-refundable $25.00 late fee. This fee will rise if not paid after 30 days and continue to rise until paid.

The Legacy Dance Studio is not responsible for problems associated with payments or accounts split between divorced parents. All payment arrangements must be made between the two parties, without the involvement of The Legacy Dance Studio.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE CAN THE LATE FEE BE REVERSED UNLESS THE FOLLOWING SITUATIONS APPLY.

Examples:

• Medical – Note from Dr. that dancer cannot participate or hospitalization for medical problems
• Life Change- Loss of job, family status change, death of a family member

A $30.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks.

Installment Reimbursements are only available if 2 or more classes in a month are cancelled and make up classes are not offered. Not including weather or other unanticipated closures due to circumstances out of The Legacy Dance Studio’s Control (weather/natural disaster/unnatural disaster).

All reasonable steps will be taken by The Legacy Dance Studio to offer at least 1 make up date for any cancelled classes.

Convenience fees apply to all online payments

After the 15th of the month, late payments will be assessed a fee in the form of a non-refundable $25.00 late charge added to the current months payment and your account will be suspended until payment. Failure to pay or update autopay will result in your child not being able to attend dance classes. 

LATE FEES WILL ACREW AFTER 30 DAYS.

There are no refunds on Showcase Costumes, under any circumstance once they are ordered. 

Please make sure to include your child’s name with each check to ensure your payment is applied properly

Payments can be  submitted to Miss Shannon directly. Or You may use our Legacy Online Parent Portal for single and automatic online  payments.

A $30.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks.

As of January 1st, 2018, post dated checks will no longer be accepted at Legacy.

We offer Military and Sibling Discounts of 10%

*Discounts cannot be combined (Excluding Military Discounts and Specials can be combined with existing discounts)

Absences

If a dancer misses class for an illness, injury, or family emergency for more than 2 weeks or for an extended period of time, reimbursements/refunds will only be available if  makeup class options are not offered by The Legacy Dance Studio for a class/classes of equal value.

Withdraw from Classes

To withdrawal from class, please notify Shannon Thomas through email at shannon@thelegacydancestudio.com to stop invoices and charges on your account and Autopay. If you do not notify us, your dancer will not be withdrawn from the class and your account will not be cancelled .

If a Legacy family decides to withdraw their student from any and all classes for any reason other than a qualified medical or family life change, any balances past due or any installment payments missed, even while inactive, would need to be paid in full to return and participate in the end of year Showcase or Re-register in the Fall.

Class Cancellations

IMPORTANT: We do not automatically cancel dance classes if there is no school, please refer to our monthly calendar below for no class dates.

The Legacy Dance Studio Payment Installment Reimbursements are only available if 2 or more classes in a month are cancelled and make up classes are not offered live or through ZOOM Live Stream or Pre-recorded YouTube Videos.

• This refund policy DOES NOT include closures due to weather or other unanticipated closures due to circumstances out of The Legacy Dance Studio’s Control (weather/natural disaster/unnatural disaster/act of God).
• This refund policy DOES NOT include Local, State or Federal Mandated Closures.
• This refund policy DOES NOT include withdrawal from classes because they are online. With Virtual Options available – All reasonable steps will be taken by The Legacy Dance Studio to continue to offer classes, no matter the circumstances of the situation.

Showcase Costumes – $100 Per Costume

Showcase Tentative Dates: June 6^th and 7^th  2025 – News Journal Center *subject to change

• SHOWCASE COSTUME DEPOSITS WILL BE POSTED TO YOUR ACCOUNT BY SEPTEMBER 1^ST
• SHOWCASE COSTUME DEPOSITS ARE DUE PAID IN FULL BY OCTOBER 10^TH – AUTOPAY WILL RUN OCTOBER 11^TH FOR ALL OUTSTANDING COSTUME FEES NOT PAID.

Monthly Installments are for The Legacy Dance Studio Professional Services rendered, including the securing of your child’s placement in curriculum, instruction, and performances.

You will Pay Installments for the 10 Month Dance Season for the Months of August – May   (MUST PAY balances TO PARTICIPATE IN SHOWCASE.) We cannot, under any circumstances, refund money for costumes once they are ordered. If payment is not received by December 10th, your child will not have a costume ordered. Please store each costume and its accessories together.
