There have been many local performance events in our area, including Port Orange Family Days Dance Showcase, New Smyrna Beach High School Showdoll’s Spooktacular Dance Show, and Volusia County Dances to name a few dance performances in Port Orange.
We have a local theater in Deland, Athens theater, producing a lot of beautiful musical performances like Elf, Shrek and Ragtime the Musical coming up this Spring. All family friendly shows for your family and friends to enjoy and make memories together!
Volusia Civic Ballet is producing their annual Nutcracker performance and celebrating their 25th year in Daytona Beach! This full-length ballet production includes a dozen local studios and choreographers coming together to create a magical event in Daytona. Professional Principal guest artists are brought in for the main rolls of Sugar Plum Fairy and the Cavalier.
Competing Around Port Orange
Dance Makers Inc is coming to the Daytona Beachfront Hilton to present their “In Bloom” 2021-2022 Tour. Dancers can attend convention classes with renowned teachers from all around the country in a variety of styles of dance including jazz funk and audition classes for scholarship opportunities. There is also a dance competition with this dance convention and the dancers will take dance class all day in Daytona and then compete at night on a state-of-the-art professional stage and intelligent lighting. This event also has amazing photography and videography available as well. The quality is very professional, and you can tell the photo and video specialists have dance experience to get the BEST shots and angles!
Parades and Holiday Events
Local cities and towns will be having their annual Holiday parades, featuring local dancers, businesses, and holiday entertainment. Port Orange, New Smyrna and Ormond Beach Christmas parades are happening this December. You will be sure so see local Port Orange Dance Studios dancing and spreading holiday cheer and even stopping for the judge’s performance. Port Orange Christmas Parade will be celebrating 43 years and their theme is, ”Christmas Around the World.”
